    5 Ingredient Beef Stew with Frozen Vegetables

    Ingredients

    This beef stew with frozen vegetables needs:

    • Beef stew meat
    • Beef broth
    • Vegetables
    • Onion
    • Potatoes

    Preparation

    There are several easy ways to prepare this recipe. You can make it in the slow cooker or do an easy thirty minute stovetop version.

    Stovetop

    On medium high heat in a pot, brown the meat. (Approximately five minutes) Set the meat aside and in the pan place the vegetables, onion and potato. Cook for several minutes until vegetables are tender. Add the meat and beef broth to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to a simmer. Allow stew to cook for approximately 20-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Season with salt and pepper if desired.

    Slow Cooker

    Place all ingredients in a slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

    Storing Your Beef Stew with Frozen Vegetables

    Beef stew really seems to taste better as the flavors have more time to come together. Often stew tastes better the next night! You can store beef stew in an airtight container for several days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop as desired.

    • 1 ½ pound beef stew meat
    • 3-4 whole russet potatoes chopped into bite sized pieces
    • 2 ½-4 cups beef broth
    • ½ cup diced yellow onion
    • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables carrots, peas, celery, etc

    Beef Broth Amount

    Feel free to adjust the amounts of the beef broth to allow freedom in how thick you want your beef stew.
