Can you make delicious keto desserts without coconut or almond flour? YES! I have FIVE today that use NO almond or coconut flour and taste amazing!

Keto Frequently Asked Questions
The keto diet is a low carb high fat diet. It is similar to diets like Atkins and low carb. Keto however focuses on a daily caloric intake of about 75% fat, 10-30% protein and about 5% carbs per day. Unhealthy fats and highly processed foods are to be restricted.
Keto is not recommended at this time to stay on long term. Most dieticians will only recommend you stay on a keto diet for 3-6 months max. Many people use it short term to jumpstart weight loss although studies have been mixed in the results of keto and ratios of fat, protein and carbs need to be followed pretty closely in order for best results. I would recommend that you consult with your doctor, dietician or other professional before beginning this diet as it is not recommended for those with certain conditions.

Recipe Inspiration
I was visiting with my sister in law and she asked if I had any keto dessert recipes on my website. I haven't done much with keto so I asked her what she was looking for. She said she was specifically looking for two things-cookies, chocolate! And she asked if possible to avoid almond and coconut flour. She was getting a little tired of those two flours. I went to the kitchen and came up with five incredible desserts including:

- Keto McDonald's Cinnamon Melts
- Keto Cinnamon Rolls
- Keto Double Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies
- Keto Bakery Style Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Keto German Chocolate Cake Cookies
All of the recipes listed are ready in under 30 minutes!

What Kind of Keto Flour Will I Need?
I did a TON of research on keto flour. I really wanted to make sure that the flour was going to mimic all purpose flour. Luckily we have so many wonderful new products coming out all the time! There are always new products coming out so if you find one you like and use please make sure you leave a comment with your favorite so others can enjoy!
The flours that we used for this recipe are:
- Scotty's Keto Bread Zero Carb Mix
- Anthony's Organic Oat Fiber--Keto Gluten Free (we used this as all purpose flour)

What Type of Sugar Should I Use?
Sugar is so important and one of the reasons why I really haven't done much with keto. I can't get over the aftertaste on a lot of the sugar free desserts. It's bad. It's awful. And keto to me is completely not worth it if my desserts are going to taste awful!
I am a HUGE fan of Miss Jones Smart Sugar. I often can't taste the difference in sugars when I use it. I even had the kids trying some of the cookies (they didn't know what keto was) and they enjoyed it a lot. Miss Jones also offers a brown sugar that is good too!
