Cookies n' cream cookies are delicious and can be easily adapted for different allergy types. We even included adaptations for making gluten free cookies n' cream cookies!
These are by far one of my favorite cookies. The kids loved them, and then I turned around and made them for myself too.
Gluten free cookies don't always taste so great and sometimes the aftertaste is just...ew. The texture can just be off too. But these cookies were delicious and I fed them to a large crowd of gluten intolerant people and they were raved about.
This is a busy few weeks while finishing up school and sometimes you just need some cookies to get through.
these cookies definetely help make a hectic time better and I highly suggest them to anyone. You will need at least two and some milk.
These cookies and cream cookies will become your new favorite bed time treat.
Ingredients
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour (can substitute gluten free flour)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (can substitute dairy free)
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 14 oreo cookies, coarsely crushed (can substitute gluten free Oreos like KToos)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the butter and sugar at medium speed for approximately 2-3 minutes or until butter becomes light and fluffy.
- Reduce mixer speed to low, add in the egg and vanilla extract. Stop and scrape bowl if necessary.
- Return mixer speed to low and slowly add in the flour mixture, continuing to stir until well incorporated. Fold in the Oreos.
- Stop mixer and roll tablespoon sized dough into balls. Place on the cookie sheet a couple of inches apart.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes. Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool on cookie sheet for several minutes before moving to a cooling rack to finish cooling completely.
