This is THE cheeseball recipe. The recipe that is a must serve at Christmas time. A recipe that must be included for the Superbowl.
Cheddar and cream cheese, peppers, pimento and a dash of hot sauce make this the perfect recipe for every holiday--yes, the Superbowl is a holiday in our house.
And we're pretty sure it will be a holiday in your house after you try this cheeseball.
This cheeseball recipe is so popular among the boys of the house that my mother in law now has to make each boy their own to allow everyone to at least get a bite or two.
We know this recipe will become just as popular in your house.
Ingredients
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 1 8 oz pkg sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- ½ green bell pepper, chopped finely
- 1 small bottle chopped pimento, drained
- 1 tsp Worcestire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- Dash of cayenne pepper or Tabasco sauce
- ½ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Allow cream cheese to warm to room temperature. Put cream cheese and remaining ingredients (minus the pecans) into a large bowl. mix all ingredients well, than form mixture into a ball. roll the ball in the chopped pecans until all sides are evenly coated with the pecans. wrap in plastic wrap and then refrigerate at least overnight. Serve with various assorted crackers.
